The bad incident happened year ago, according to a Yonhap news agency story on Wednesday, a man in South Korea was mauled to death by a robot that was handling produce boxes, as the machine was unable to distinguish between the man and the boxes.

At a produce distribution center in South Gyeongsang province, the man, a 40-year-old employee of a robotics company, was examining the robot's sensor functions.

According to Yonhap, which quoted the authorities, the industrial robot that was moving boxes of bell peppers and setting them on a pallet appeared to have malfunctioned and mistakenly identified the victim for a box.

Yonhap claimed that the man's face and chest were crushed as the robotic arm forced his upper body up against the conveyor belt.

A fifty-year-old South Korean man was seriously injured in March when he was ensnared by a robot at a facility that made auto parts.

When finished reading tech article news, Ella shared it on X (formerly twitter).
