Phone possible from Android in Google Play
For those
who miss the "tiled" Windows Phone UI, a new and intriguing
application had just surfaced on the Google store a year ago. In contrast to
several other launchers of a similar nature, it added widgets to update and
modernized the Android home screen experience.
BIG Icons is
a program that updates the OS desktop, but it does more than just add shortcuts
to open apps. Notifications could also be shown on stylized tiles; each program
consisted of a different configuration for this functionality.
Third-party
icons could be used with BIG Icons, and tile backgrounds may be customized with
either a transparent effect or a static or adaptive color. The application's
original icon and name could also be removed by the user from the tile.
Though it
was still in beta, BIG Icons could be downloaded for $1.99 from Google Play.
Price may differ according to your region.
