It was 1943, when Ana Kaminski along with her panic juvenile friend Ester Pasternak forcibly had to take refuge behind the solid gates of Auschwitz on the eve of World War 2. There amid the unfriendly, uncertain environment, she silently revealed herself midwife and her friend as her assistant. They went inside the maternity hut as instructed. Their arms were marked with tattoos. When she arrived in maternity hut, Anna did midwife job, new born babies born, she tried her best to save them and hold them back as she could.

It was difficult for Anna to tolerate tyranny after seeing two guards grabbed away blond-haired baby from its birth mother after marching with SS uniforms inside maternity hut. But she could do nothing except consoling her. Along with horror Anna saw a ray of hope, babies who were born healthy, given to German families by soldiers. She anticipated that babies will stay alive after handing over and there were rumors spreading about ending the World War II soon. In order to identify and reunification of babies back to their mothers, Anna and Ester noiselessly had tattoo to new born babies with their mama numbers.

It was early morning, Ester was wearing slim striped outfit, but under her tiny bump was visible before Anna.
