My Mother's Friend

My Mother's Friend is written by author Sally Jameson Bond which consists of 374 pages.

It was the story of 1944 when a skilled pianist whose name was Phee Swensson in her age of seventeen years, she striving in studies of high school. Suddenly after demise of her mother, her father who was priest took her to nearest prisoner of war camp. At POW camp, she found out that one German POW intends to learn piano music from her so she anticipated friendship.

Initially Phee sees German POW as adversary but after spending some time with him, she befriend with him. As the time passes by, her friendship taken a new turn and she fell in love with him. Despite Phee's religious family background, she in a forbidden love with German POW. Being her father as clergy, she forgone her family values and pursue her heart. 

When the war ended, time arrived for POWs to vacant their camp Algona, Phee found herself in strange situation, she had short time left to decide about her fate.
